Canaanite bronze "Eye Glasses" battle axe.
Middle Bronze Age I: 2200-2000 BC.
H. 8.57 cm (3 3/8 in.), W. 14 cm (5 ½ in.)
Perfect condition. Extremely fine smooth green and reddish patina.
Sold



The battle axe of "Eye Glasses" type with rounded blade, fenestrated with two oblong openings, with cylindrical socket and ridges around the openings.
An outstanding fine example of this rare axe type.
