The head of a woman sculptured in the round, hollowed in the center, covered at the top with a disc with concentric circles.
The head with finely modeled face, adorned with a wig in the Egyptian style. The face features have also Egyptian influence, mainly in the style of the wide eyes.
This rare and important fine ivory small sculpture belongs to the famous group of the Phoenician ivory relief plaques of "The Woman in the Window". In those relief plaques, the head of a woman of the same style, is framed by a window.
The architectural elements in the relieves are identical to architectural elements which have been found in excavations in Jerusalem, Hazor and Megido, built by Solomon. The group is related to the art style of the Temple of Jerusalem built by King Solomon, with the help of the Phoenician artists of Chiram, king of Tyre.
