Roman bluish-green glass double balsamarium with silvery white patina.
4th-5th century AD
H. 17.5 cm (6 7/8 in.)
Intact. Fine silver patina.
Sold



The double balsamarium (cosmetic flask) composed of twin unguentaria in the form of cylindrical tubes of bluish green glass joined together, with flaring rims folded inward. Two side handles rising from the upper part of the body, attached to the rim and continue over it to create an upper basket handle.
