The baboon, manifestation of the Egyptian moon god Thoth, is squatting on a small square base, with his hands on top of his knees, prominent sexual organ between his feet and his tail curling around his right leg. His head is surmounted with the crown of the lunar disk and crescent. His mane covering the upper part of his body with straight lines on his head and small squares on the back. A suspension loop attached to the back of the head. At the base there is seal with hieroglyphic inscription: "Lord Amen-Ra".
Baboons were associated with both sun and moon cults.
This baboon is a representation of Thoth, the Moon God, with a seal of Amen-Ra, the Sun God.
