Greek Archaic bronze Kouros.
C. 520-500 BC.
Height: 8. 37 cm. (3 1/4 in.).
Condition: Missing lower arms, right leg from knee and left feet. Mounted.

The nude youth is standing frontal, with his weight on his left foot and the right hip
slightly backward. His straight hair is rolled up under the fillet stretched around the
head. His face is finely modeled with low receding forehead, pronounced eyebrows, big
shaped eyes and wide closed lips with archaic smile. The body is modeled in late archaic
style with high, prominent chest muscles; two transverse division above the navel in the
abdominal muscle. Vertical grooved line on the back represents vertebral column, while
horizontal line - the shoulder blades.
A fine and rare example of Greek Archaic bronze Kouros.
