Early Christian bronze cross and terracotta oil lamp with a cross design
Early Byzantine Period: 4th-7th century AD. The Holyland.
Cross Height (incl. loop): 3.07 cm. (1 1/4 in.). Lamp Length: 7.89 cm. (3 1/8 in.)
Cross – Fine condition, repaired at one arm. Fine green patina.

The bronze cross pendant, with suspension loop, with short tapering wide arms decorated with incised circles. The terracotta lamp, with cross ornament in relief over the front part of the lamp.
These items are of the earliest representations of the Christian cross.
