Canaanite terracotta figurine of a fertility goddess. (Astarte?)
Middle Bronze Age II: 2000-1550 BCE
H. 14. cm. (5 1/2 in.)
Perfect Condition. Mounted.

The stylized figurine with flat violin shaped body and bird face with elaborated coiffure. The two short arms spread to the sides. The emphasized belly bottom over two incised lines above the sex part. Incised design decorates the torque around the neck. A bronze earring in the perforated left ear.
