Canaanite bronze figurine of a fertility goddess.
Middle Bronze Age II: 2000-1550 BC
H. 13 cm (5 1/8 in.)
Very fine condition: chip at the lower end of the tenon, missing attribute at left hand. Fine rich green and reddish-brown patina.

The goddess is standing frontal naked with her hands extended forward to hold attributes. She is wearing a conical crown and an elaborate torque (-necklace). Her large head is modeled with stylized face with prominent ears and facial features, including frowning brows which give her a strong expression. The flat body with protruding breasts and belly button, and incised sex part.
The figurine is of the rare type of The Megiddo Group. It is outstanding for the highly expressive face and the good state of preservation.
