Roman bronze dog.

H. 7.6 cm (3 in.), L. 9 cm (3 9/16 in.)
Tail partly corroded.

The dog is standing with its left forepaw raised. The head is raised as well and slightly turned leftward. The long tail is curved creating a loop.
The head with open barking mouth, a thick collar on the neck.
The dog is finely modeled in a lively graceful posture, which might represent a “begging” gesture.
