Roman bronze herm bust of Herakles.

Perfect condition. Fine dark green patina with reddish brown spots.

Herakles, the mythological hero is portrayed frontal, draped with the Nemean lion’s skin, with the lion head over his head, falling at the back with the lion tail and the forepaws are knotted over his chest. The oval face with silver inlaid eyes, straight nose, full lips and narrow chin.
The figure is finely modeled, with divine expression of the face and with rich details of the lion skin.
