1st-2nd century AD.
Height: 12 cm. (4 3/4 in.)
Extremely fine. Minor damage to left ear's hole and to the leaves. Superb naturally smooth green patina. Mounted.

Aphrodite, goddess of beauty and love, is standing nude. Her crescent diadem set over her centrally parted hair, which falls over her shoulders. Her weight is on her right leg, and her left leg is slightly bent. Her right hand outstretched, and the left hand holds a bunch of laurel leaves. The figure is finely modeled in a Classical style, with chasing of the minor details. The diadem, hair and face are specially fine, with suspension holes in the ears for the now missing gold earrings.
