Eastern Mediterranean core-formed white and purple glass amphoriskos
6th-5th century BC.
Height: 11.6 cm. (4 5/8 in.)
Perfect condition. Glass surface partly glossy, with pitted areas, partly iridescent.

The Piriform body with cylindrical neck, applied upper neck, flaring rim, twin handles and knob base. The opaque white glass with deep purple glass marvered thread applied around rim and wound spirally around shoulder and body with festoon design in the center. Upper neck, rim, twin handles and knob base are of darker white. .
