Roman light purple-pinkish glass jug with wide ridged handle
3rd-4th century AD.
Height: 21.5 cm. (8 1/2 in).
Rim partly restored, otherwise perfect.

The light purple-pinkish glass elongated jug with diagonal ribbing twisted spirally around the body and the long cylindrical neck, and below the everted rim. A wide ribbed strap handle from rim to shoulder. A glass ribbon with vertical punched lines is bound around the lower neck. A disc base with diagonal “9 rays” rounded projections.
