Early Christian bronze cross pendant in modern gold setting
Early Byzantine Period: 4th - 7th century AD. The Holyland.
Bronze cross: Height: 2.95 cm. (1 1/8 in.) Width: 2 cm. (0 6/8 in.)
Perfect condition. Fine green and reddish patina.

The bronze cross pendant, with suspension loop, with short tapering wide
arms decorated with incised circles.
This type of cross is of the earliest Christian crosses, which first appeared
at the end of the 4th century AD. Before that time the cross was not used
as a Christian symbol.
Set in modern handmade 18K gold pendant, with three Ruby gems.
